Handing in the project

Handing in my extended project today. I have to print off my log, report, and my presentation slides and notes. I have decided to add a contents page to my report and will see my tutor beforehand to ask about how I use my blog and calendar as evidence.

Completed the log

Just completed the log book, had to conduct an end of project review, discuss what I've learned from the project, and summarize my report.

Extended Project Presentation

Had my Presentation today at 11:00. I thought it went fairly well, I tried to include analogies where I could. I found that I conducted myself well even though I was fairly nervous beforehand. I thought that I should of prepared my explanations of the 'project' slides, it didn't seem as though someone who has no knowledge of modern physics would be able to understand the concepts I was outlining or the importance of those concepts. I think my slides themselves were well laid out and I had a sensible amount of information on each slide.

Planning presentation

Now planning the structure of my presentation. I will outline the topic I studied for my report and various other aspects such as the skills I have gained and my strengths and weaknesses. I will also discuss the organizational side of the project and my research of my chosen topic. My tutor sent me various examples of previous presentations and also recommended various slides to include. This helped me get a general idea of how I should conduct the presentation.

Finished report

Finally finished the report and the referencing. Sent it to my tutor for a read through and got some feedback. She helped point out that I had forgotten to write an introduction to the report which is now done. I will probably have another run through after I have finished my presentation.

Referencing at the end...not a good idea

Finished my report, but left referencing to the last minute which is causing me some trouble in backtracking through my notes and sources. This has made referencing take a lot longer then I initially expected.

Exams finished

Exams have finally finished which means I can get back to work on the project. I only really have work to do on the report writing since I already have a rough draft and have collected all my notes.
